Would you buy an XBOX 360 for FSXI?

Recommended Posts

No on the XBOX.I have too much hardware and addons I have invested my hard-earned money in. I will be happy with FS9 on XP for many years to come.In fact, if FSX is the last flightsim product from Microsoft, I'll keep one PC for FS9/FSX and move my regular computing to a MAC.Thanks for asking.Jim

Sure, whatever it takes. What do I care what hardware I'm using? Besides, the xbox 360 is a multi-use piece of equipment. Gaming platform, media center pc extender, and most importantly, it is now being used as a Netflix instant watch appliance.I don't have one yet, but the Netflix streaming might get me to buy one. Depends on what the hypothetical FSXI was like. If it's more gamey at the expense of simulation then my answer is a definite 'NO'. :(

No, no and NO.Lemme repeat that:NO!!!!!!!!!!!!Why?Half of my FS world is self configured and tweaked to my tastes. Without it, its just a game. With it, its a simulated world. That's how I see it.

Would you buy a setup?
Yes I would IF and only if some high end aircraft were available for this setup, say something of the PMDG quality. I am not dogmatic about the type of hardware as long as the flight sim experience is top notch.

NO, NO, and NO. I love gaming on my XBOX 360, but it isn't a good platform for flight simulation.

I wouldn't buy an X-Box to use as a doorstop, let alone for flight simulation.

It'll be a VERY sad day to see a Moron-Flight Simulator for XBOX only. I don't fancy tunning an ILS on a 360 pad thanks Microsoft. Oh wait, there'll be no ILS landings; I'll be on a Ballon popping mission, skydiving or flying a cargo plane full of Ballmer's bulls**t.

Not just no, but hell no.FSX runs pretty well on my PC, and most of my hardware revolves around that. It would be senseless for me to buy another new console just to run one application. I realize everything is pure speculation at this point, but I would not care for the sim going to a subscription service to play multi-player and/or install add-ons. Granted I don't play too many games, some of which has optional subscriptions, but I can still fully use the software without having to pay a monthly fee. Given that the XBOX 360's graphics hardware is likely inferior to most people's PCs, you know there will be either dumbing down of textures and scenery in order for the "game" to play well.
