Modified J41 aircraft.cfg

Recommended Posts

Thank you Robin for these camera definitions. I'm definetely going to try out the "2D" one.I do have TrackIR 5 but the more that I can get out of this bird, the better. One thing, with respect to the aircraft and all, why is the name of *** is the autopilot all the way down in the center pedestal? Frankly, I would love to see some sort of intergration of the autopilot "gauge" or section in the supposed "2D" panel. Might be a little too much to ask for those who prefer flying 2D, but I think it *can* be done.

I know I'm late to the party, but great work! The pseudo 2D panel is a nice feature for those who are really put off by the VC.Nick

Hi,Thanks for the comments! Pleased it's OK!

why ... is the autopilot all the way down in the center pedestal?
I think it is partly space, and partly function. Whilst the controls on the glareshield can operate the autopilot/flight director, it is not their only purpose.Best regards,Robin.

Hello,I have created two more camera definitions. Just cop/paste in you aircraft.cfg after the last [CameraDefinition.020][CameraDefinition.021]Title = "left Prop and Ice View"Guid = {3D441FE5-5C7A-426b-8DAB-B86B38C2A02F}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = NOSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.89SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=20HeadingPanRate=60InitialXyz=-0.15, -0.07, -0.07.InitialPbh=0, 0, -129.15HotKeySelect=7[CameraDefinition.022]Title = "right Prop and Ice View"Guid = {4D441FE5-5C7A-426b-8DAB-B86B38C2A02F}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = NOSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 1SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=20HeadingPanRate=60InitialXyz=1.02, -0.07, -0.01InitialPbh=0, 0, 133.4HotKeySelect=9j41m.jpgAs the pictures show, you've got to sights for the left and right prop to see before startup if the props are feathered and have during flight an easy control for icing...Note, that I have assigned two hotkeys (HotKeySelect). delete or change them

Thanks, here's an other useful sight for me...speeda.jpg[CameraDefinition.023]Title = "Speed Cards"Guid = {5D441FE5-5C7A-426b-8DAB-B86B38C2A02F}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = NOSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 1.5SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=20HeadingPanRate=60InitialXyz=0.38, 0, 0.20.InitialPbh=65.807, 0, 7.503HotKeySelect=5For this and the config changes above: use at your own risk!!!! Don't blame PMDG, don't blame me and don't blame anybody else if you don't know what you are doing! For using hotkeys see this thread: little guide for VC views

This thread should be a sticky at the top! Perhaps the mods will do that and change the title to something about user edit camera positions.Hopefully people will continue to add edits they find usefull to this thread!

related to my three modifications I have to advice you to stop that, please.I have got today a new error message: how nice: new error message todayI don't thin that is related to the modificated configs, but thats the last thing I changed in FS since yesterdayPlease wait with the camera definitions till PMDG gives a comment to this.Or do it absolutely at your own risk

Unless you screw up the entry in the .cfg file, there is no problem with the camera definitions and they will *NOT* cause you problems with the aircraft.I haven't forgotton this thread - just busy. Expect something this week. :)Best regards,Robin.
