JS4100 VC Graphical Glitches Post SP1

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,Installed SP1, uninstalled repaint, reinstalled newly downloaded ones, external aircraft no problems, but when in VC I get these graphical anomalies flashing across the screen, flip out to external view, no problems. I have latest nvidia drivers installed. Any ideas, as it is now unflyable.2009-10-18_11-29-46-530.jpg2009-10-18_11-29-56-339.jpg2009-10-18_11-30-1-364.jpg2009-10-18_11-29-56-339.jpgThanks for your time!

Resolved. I completely uninstalled the JS4100, reinstalled base pack, SP1, then newly downloaded repaints, working fine!

Driver perhaps .... Try Nvidia driver 182.50 .... and be sure it's for your particular card and OS ... 32 or 64, XP or Vista. Maybe not but worth a try.

182.50 is the only driver I use :( I have loaded several flight's, sometimes the corruption is there and sometimes its not. If it persist's I will do a complete uninstall then reinstall. Thanks

Brilliant work, mhlarsen. I had a severe problem with flashing in the VC after installing SP1 and followed your suggestion by removing the bufferpools entry. The flashing went away completely. I am using an ATI 4870X2, so I doubt the problem is attributable to any Nvidia driver (although you never know). Thanks for your help.V.A.

I tried removing my bufferpools entry and it made it worse . . .Joe Lorenc

Captains,This is a problem that we ran into during the development of Service Pack 1 that we thought was solved. It appears as if we have run ito is an internal limit built into FSX in regard to the number of parts and animations. Until we find a solution for this, I would advise anyone experiencing this anomoly to open their PMDG J41 Configuration Manager and to select the VC option with no ice. This should remove the anomolies.Once we determine a solution, we will release a small service pack for those of you experiencing this problem. Sorry about the inconvenience.
