Dash 8 Heading/Course Selection

Recommended Posts

Guest anottage

Hi, does anyone know how to get the hdg/course selection dial on the glareshield panel to go up/down by 1 deg inrcrements in the air? On the ground it's fine - the mouse wheel moves it up/down by 1deg, but in the air it will only move up/down by 10degs?Much appreciated, Andrew

I had this problem with my PSS Dash 8 too, allthough with me it did not work on the ground either. The PSS Helpdesk (John) thought that I needed a registered fsuipc but suggested to try this first:reinstall fsuipc (only the dll file, delete the ini file) and delete the fs9.cfg file (FS2004 creates a new one on reboot). That did the trick. No idea how and why though.Herrie

I too have this problem which clears immediately after deleting the fs9.cfg and FSUIPC files but returns afterwords. I use the Active Sky AS2004 weather module and am a registered FSUIPC user. This issue is making the Dash 8 unusable for me. I would appreciate some advice on how to resolve the problem.Mike

I was just looking through the forum to find the solution to this problem. Since I haven't paid for the FSUIPC module (yet), I will keep looking. HOWEVER, I did find that if you do not engage Yaw Dampening on the autopilot you will get heading/course knob increments of 1deg.Robert
