Finally a working POSKY PSS merge

After extensive testing (around more than 30 merge combinations) which took around more than 12-15 hours (takeoff, ILS circuit, same heading same airspeed, same FMC inputs for most of the merges, same amount of fuel for most of the merges etc) I have found a merge that can work with a fairly smooth LOC interception and good ILS and also fairly good fuel flow.Get the POSKY aircraft and install itFirst of all for the panel.1)Rename the POSKY Panel folder to "POSKY Panel" or back it up. You will need the contents of it soon.2)Copy the Panel folder from the PSSB77704 folder and paste it into the POSKY aircraft.3)Copy the Pky_util and Posky777 from the "POSKY Panel" folder into the newly copied PSS Panel folder.4)You should now have these inside the Panel folder- Pky_util Posky777 pss_vars main panel pedestal5)Copy this into the IMPORTANT: You can rename the PSSB777LR-GE to the POSKY air file or just leave it as it is and in the [fltsim.XXX] section make the sim=PSSB777LR-GE. Interesting timing Nandan as I have ben playing around with "the merge" as of late. Question - have you had any issues with the MFD's not lighting up at night in the VC? I haven't tried your method yet, but one I d/l was from Andrew Carmichael and it works great but if I add another texture everything works except the night light of the MFD's at night in the VC but they do work in the 2D mode panel. Just thought I would as to see if you have come across this...thx,Clutch

Sorry guys, I use a non-vc version-I use wingviews version-so not sure if the vc MFDs light up at night etc. But I think I have an aircraft.cfg or something somewhere that has a vc that lets the PSS gauges show. I'll try to put it up later today or so.Please try the ILS and see if it works aye-comparing it to earlier merges.Also, when you turn on the panel flood lights (both) one for the green light thag illuminates the lines and back light for the panel, does the overhead panel show a backlight like the 2D panel? Or is it only supposed to show the green light lines in the overhead? like in this link, check out the overhead panel screenshot, is it supposed to be like this, no backlight-http://www.justflight.com/img/screenshots/...5056GKNGN-L.jpgCan you post your overhead panel with lights on at night. That's the correct lighting for the switch you have on. The outer rig is for the panel backlight. The inner knob is for the Floods.Capture_022.jpgCapture_023.jpg

Nandan, I would suggest trying a few different textures with a few different posky 777-200ER models and air files but keeping using the same Aircraft.cfg file and the same panel.cfg file to see if it works among the different models ok before uploading.

I've tried it with different models, using the panel and aircraft.cfg and PSS air file. They all perform the pretty much the same. Since the 777-200ERs thrust ratings are different I can't guarantee a good fuel flow or a fuel flow close to real thing, since it will cruise at a lower N1 setting so burning less fuel etc. It might work with a correct weight setting, haven't tried it yet and my holidays are almost over so probably won'y have enough time...Anyways, you guys should try it and please report it here. I wanna see how it went with you folks. Cheers.

Maybe that was turbulence since it didn't occur the whole time. I was travelling between FL290 and FL330 at around M.81.In case you need suggestions for future projects I'm still looking for a Posky 773 / PSS merge and to hook the new Project Airbus 380 to Wilco's 380 panel :( Matt

Cheers Matt!!! Finally someone who tried the merge! Yea, maybe the turbulence. Take it for another spin. How was the ILS mate? Better than previous merges? I love the 777-200 lol and I don't have the Wilco A380 anymore so I don't think I can merge the PA A380 and Wilco A380, sorry :( . I was making a panel for the A380 though with ISGsim installed. Anyways, that merge is for the 777-200 aye, have you tried the 777-200ER merge?Hope to hear from you soon

Before I rush out to buy the PSS 777, I need to know more. I absolutely need to have a working VC. Not so much clickable buttons, but I need to have the MFDs and such working. Is there anybody that can say anything about this merge working with the MFDs in the VC?
