Sperry 177 Autopilot - Option

Recommended Posts

Hey all,I have started to build the Sperry 177 Ap which is still in the early stages. Just a few pictures showing progress.Implemented HDG, Nav, Alt Sel, Alt Hold, Both Ap channel modes, Vor/Loc Man Mode. Logic for CWS and some other submodes to be ironed out. Docs for the 177 and related systems are a little tough to come by but what the hey.Regards,Douglashttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157379.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157380.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157381.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157382.jpg

Huh??That's a Sperry 77, not a 177...the 77 is already fully implemented in the TinMouse II. (???)RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Davide,As correctly pointed out by both Bob and Omykron, the first set ofpics I put up was of a Sperry 77 and not that of a 177. I should have clarified that it was a 77 with options:-grr. I apologize for anyconfusion. This first picture shows an excerpt from Boeing showing the paneloption, not many 737

The ADI Ball is great and you could probably get one from a number of other panels and include it in yours, if you like.Yes the 177 has tapes insted of LCD which were on the 300's onwards but it's easier on my old eyes for my build purposes to use digits that are nice and bright, but thanks for pointing that out. As far as someone else doing a 177, I don't really know, but that is great for the Tinmouse fans, more choice. Regards,Douglas :-walksmile

I hope, I hope someone makes Sperry 177 options. At least, just only V/S option is also acceptable.I'm really enjoy to fly with TinmouseII 737-200ADV, it is amazing freeware addon in Flightsim history.Just we need V/S becouse of dynamics is works differents in depend on different computer (joystcik, FSUIPC etc) configurations. The rest of them are great in tinmouse.

Talking about Sperry SP 177 systems. I need to know how to enable the L-NAV button on this panel.I work for an airline and we're installing GPS on some B737-200 classics. This airplanes has the SP177 and I need to couple the GPS to the auto pilot, but I couldn't make it work. The L-NAV button simply doesn't work.Does anybody has a wiring diagram I can use for reference only and/or nows how to do the pin programming? Thanks!
